Sara E. Walsh, 81, of Amarillo, entered heaven early on Tuesday, November 05, 2024.
A rosary will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Cathedral, and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Cathedral.
Sara was born to Edwin Mouzon Eads and Billie Curran on October 20, 1943, in Temple, Texas. After graduating high school in Anchorage, Alaska, she attended Texas Tech. She married the love of her life, John Walsh, on December 28, 1963, and they started a wonderful family.
Sara was a loving mother and homemaker, creating many beautiful memories for her family. Along with her family, another area she held close to her heart was her faith as a devoted Catholic. She and John were lifelong congregation members at St. Mary’s Catholic Cathedral, and both were involved in various aspects of the church.
Those who are left behind to cherish her memory include her beloved husband, John Walsh; two daughters, Lynn and husband Chris Willoughby of Big Canoe, Georgia, and Leslie and husband Greg Vana of Sachse, Texas; one son, David Walsh of Dallas, Texas; and one sister, Lynn Black of Brownsville, Texas. She also leaves eight grandchildren: Sara Whitney Walsh, Nicholas Walsh, Emily Rohrs, Katy Schorn, Cole Willoughby, Morgan Collins, Erin Vana, and Michael Vana, as well as seven great-grandchildren, Ryder, Payton, Pheobe, Prezlie, Bryden, Harrison and Grant.
