Shirley Ann (Ingram) Brannon, 83, of Claude, left this world and reunited with her beloved Quincey on April 15, 2025.
The family will receive guests on Monday, April 21, 2025, from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia in Amarillo. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at 10:00 am in the funeral home’s Brentwood Chapel with Pastor Shawn Johnson of Claude Church of Christ presiding. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Shirley was born in Hereford, Texas, on August 11, 1941, to Henry and Wanda (Purcell) Ingram. She grew up in Portales, New Mexico, where she met Quincey Brannon while attending Portales High School. They married on June 9, 1958, and began their family. Shirley was the very definition of the term “Home Maker”. She raised their children and maintained the home with love and dignity.
Shirley loved the Native American Culture. She collected many novelty items, artwork, artifacts, and everything in between. Shirley dabbled in vegetable gardening for a time and could be found on the front porch shelling black-eyed peas she had picked for one of the many dinners the family would enjoy. When she had spare time, Shirley enjoyed painting and crafting to keep her hands from being idle.
Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, sister, Phyllis Smith, and grandson Randy Brannon. Those left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Jana Washburn and Dwain, sons, Bud Brannon and Dreama, and Chuck Brannon and Twila, sisters, LaJuana English and Glenda Carter; and her host of 11 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren.
