A rosary will be on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at 6:00 PM at Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel, 4100 South Georgia. The funeral mass will be on Friday, January 16th at 11:00 AM at St. Hyacinth Catholic Church, 4500 West Hills Trail. Interment will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Tom was born on July 6, 1951, in Amarillo to his parents, John Jacob and Catherine Mary (Koetting) Kempf. He graduated from Amarillo High School in 1970 and went on to build a long and dedicated career as a mechanic with Bruckner Truck Sales. Tom faithfully served the company for more than 36 years, retiring as night supervisor—a role that reflected both his work ethic and dependability.
Outside of work, Tom found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved gardening, fishing, and spending quiet evenings shelling black-eyed peas while watching T.V. From time to time, he could also be found enjoying a trip to Oklahoma to visit the casino.
Tom was a selfless and kindhearted man who was always looking for ways to help others. If Tom considered you a friend, you were family in his eyes. He and his wife, Connie, shared a life together that spanned a combined 33 years of marriage. Together they enjoyed traveling and, most of all, learning to appreciate the time they had with one another.
Above all, Tom was immensely proud of his family. He especially adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were the light of his life and brought him great joy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister Theresa Kempf Baruzzi; and a brother, David J. Kempf.
Tom is survived by his wife Connie; his daughter, Cindy Stallings and husband Ted all of Amarillo; his sons, John A. Kempf and wife Nancy of Canyon and Thomas J. Kempf and wife Kelsi of Dallas; his brother Gerald Kempf of Amarillo; many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, neighbors and friends.
