Vivian Jean (Simmons) Procopio

Vivian Jeane Procopio, 88, of Amarillo died February 15, 2022.

Graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 21, 2022 in Llano Cemetery with Dr. Trevor Brown as officiant. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.

Vivian was born on October 16, 1933 in Marble Falls, TX to Aubry and Beatrice Simmons. Vivian grew up in Marble Falls and graduated from Marble Falls High School where she was a cheerleader, voted Class Favorite and won many academic achievement awards. She was an extremely selfless, kind, generous, and positive spirit to a fault. Her passion in life was giving to others, charity and kindness to everyone she met including her many animal friends. Vivian was especially fond of horses, German Shepherds and later in life her cat “Kitty.” She loved “many children” as her own adopted ones. Vivian loved baking chocolate chip cookies, fishing, giving private swimming lessons and playing croquet on her lawn.

She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Betty McKown.

Vivian is survived by dear friend, Jim Jordan and his nephew, Mark Belew and wife, Jana of Amarillo, TX; sister, Audry Gober and husband, Wayne of Leander, TX; and brothers, Harland Simmons and wife, Karen of Chocowinity, NC and Clay Simmons and wife, Connie of Marble Falls, TX. She was the beloved, fun, and favorite aunt of her many nieces and nephews.
