Wendy White

Wendy White, age 64 of Amarillo died April 23, 2026.

The family will receive guest on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, from 5:30 PM until 7:00 PM at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia. The funeral will be on Wednesday, April 29, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Schooler Funeral Home. Rev. Greg Corona of Hillside Christian Church will officiate. Interment will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Wendy was born on September 5, 1961, in Lynwood, to her parents, Melvin and Lorraine Skinner Coghill. She attended Caprock High School. On October 20, 1979, she married Fred White in Amarillo.

Wendy was intelligent, fiercely independent, and as tough as they come. Strong-willed and determined, she knew exactly what she wanted and how she wanted it. Those who knew her understood that beneath her sharp edge was a woman of deep conviction and unwavering spirit.

A lifelong lover of horses, Wendy found great joy in the world of riding and showing. With Fred’s support, she was able to fulfill her dream of horse ownership. She proudly showed in halter and horsemanship competitions. She treasured the peace and serenity that came from simply being in the presence of her horses. She had a special affection for Appaloosa horses.

Her favorite horse, Frank, preceded her in death. At the time of her passing, Wendy was caring for her beloved horses, Cash and Little Man, who brought her happiness.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Wendy is survived by her husband Fred; her daughter Whitney White and her father John Lemme; her son Christopher White and wife April; two brothers, Jimmy Coghill and Bob Rodgers; three grandchildren, Sierra, Katelynn and Elisha White; and by her canine companion, Harriet.
