William "Bill" Reece Taylor

William "Bill" Reece Taylor, 74, of Amarillo, passed peacefully on March 8, 2026.

Bill's life will be celebrated on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at 10:00 am in the Brentwood Chapel of Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia, Amarillo, Texas. 

Bill was born on June 28th, 1951 in Perryton, TX to Lois and Rusty Taylor. He graduated from University of Houston and then Texas Tech University and went on to be an attorney and judge for many decades.

Bill was known for his faith in God, the devotion he had to his family, and his love of a good, hearty meal. He especially loved watching football, teaching Sunday school, and reclining in the living room with at least one dog in his lap, his wife at his side.

Bill is survived by his wife, Valli, his six children, Curt, Abbi, Mandy, Andrew, Sarah, and Chelsea, his six grandchildren, Autumn, Tony, Gabe, Salem, Izzy, and Noah, and his sisters and brother, Vicki, Florence, Sheri, and Curtis.

Bill was preceded in death by his son, Donnie.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Amarillo SPCA in his memory.

Bill will be deeply missed by those who knew him and remembered for the love and kindness he showed to each and everyone of them.
