Alan L Fletcher

January 25, 1951 — May 18, 2023

Amarillo

Alan took his first breath in Heaven, and his body was healed on May 18, 2023.

A celebration of Alan’s life will be held Wednesday, May 24th at 11:00 am at Messiahs House, 6901 Bell, in Amarillo, Texas, with Rick Trafton, trusted Pastor and family friend, presiding.

Alan was born on January 25, 1951.  He graduated from Canyon High School in 1969 and attended West Texas State University for three years. He farmed with his dad for ten years while ranching at Salt Fork Ranch for 47 years along with his wife Tonya and brother Gary. They won the AQHA World Championship Team Penning in 2009, along with Alan’s brother, Gary.  He impacted countless lives with his wisdom, positive influence, and kindness, and so many have said, “Alan was always so good to me growing up!”

Alan’s favorite scripture is from Psalm 61… “Hear my cry, O God; attend my prayer.  From the end of the earth, I will cry to you.  When my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the rock that is higher than I, for you have been a shelter for me, a strong tower from the enemy.  I will abide in your tabernacle forever.  I will trust in the shelter of your wings.”

He is survived by his loving wife, Tonya, and one son, Brice; he was grandpa to his four grandchildren, two nieces, and four nephews.  Preceding him to Heaven were his father, mother, and two brothers, Gary and Phil Fletcher.
