Alfred S. Bednorz, Jr.

Alfred S. Bednorz, Jr. passed away April 22, 2021.

Memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St.

He was born February 18, 1951 to Alfred and Ruth Bednorz in Canyon TX. He is preceded in death by his mother Ruth and a brother Gary. He is survived by his father Alfred, a sister Deborah, and many friends.

He graduated from Canyon High in 1969. Alfred studied Theology at Oblate School of Theology and Philosophy at Immaculate Conception College Seminary. He ordained as a Priest in 1976. Alfred began his life of service at Catholic Charities where he was executive director. He later worked as Senior Correctional Health Social Worker at the Bill Clements Unit.

Alfred loved to travel especially in Mexico. He was an avid reader of history, archeology, and science fiction. Alfred touched many lives personally and professionally.

He will be missed by many. R.I.P my dear friend
