Attila "A.G." Papp

Attila “A.G.” Papp, 82, of Amarillo died April 12, 2021.

Visitation will be from 7-8:00 p.m., Thursday, April 15, 2021, at Schooler Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 16, 2021, at St. Mary’s Catholic Cathedral, 1200 Washington. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.

Attila was born September 3, 1938, in Hungary to Geza and Margarete Papp. He proudly served in the United States Air Force and married Karen Ward on January 23, 1965. Attila obtained 2 Masters Degrees from Texas Tech and West Texas State Universities. He worked at Pantex for over 40 years before his retirement.

Attila liked cars and was the president of the Llano Estacada Region of the Porsche Club of America. He was also an avid sailor.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Attila is survived by his wife, Karen Papp; twins, son, Joseph Papp and wife, Michele; daughter, Ann Kreeger and husband, Brian; sister, Betty Standridge and husband, Sam; and 3 grandchildren, Gabriell Papp, Daniel Kreeger, and Ellen Kreeger.

The family suggests memorials be made to BSA Hospice of the Southwest, 6600 Killgore, Amarillo, Texas 79106.
