Beatrice Chirase went to be with God on Sunday, January 27, 2019, after a long and courageous battle against cancer. She passed peacefully surrounded by her family and friends.

Beatrice Chirase was born on August 20, 1959 in Navrongo, Ghana to Zachary Kanwille and Emelia Agamba Aduum. She was the 3rd of their 5 children, and also had many half brothers and sisters that she took great pride in caring for. Though they grew up just miles from one another, Beatrice did not meet her husband and love of her life, Norbert, until December of 1986. Despite living on different continents, their connection was instantaneous, and their love blossomed. She also cherished being a mother to her children, Isabel and Emmanuel, praying for them unceasingly and celebrating their many achievements.

Once settled in Amarillo, Texas, Beatrice found her vocation in nursing, a labor of love that brought her joy and purpose. She and Norbert also started GTX Technologies, where she thrived as an entrepreneur and business leader.

Beatrice was an avid moviegoer and never missed an episode of her favorite late-night talk shows. She and her family also shared countless travel memories, from road trips across the country to fulfilling her lifelong dream of visiting Rome and the Vatican. Though many miles away from her home country of Ghana, she never lost touch with the family and friends that she cherished deeply. Beatrice is remembered for her warm and beautiful smile, incredible kindness, going above and beyond to help others, and her extraordinary faith which she leaned on until the very end.
