Bernard "Bernie" Oberbrockling
January 9, 1934 — February 3, 2019
Bernard (Bernie) Oberbrockling passed away Sunday February 3rd at the age of 85.
The Rosary will be held Wednesday at 6pm at Schooler Funeral Home 4100 South Georgia Amarillo, TX. The funeral services will be held at Memory Gardens 14200 I-27 Amarillo, TX on Thursday at 2pm in the mausoleum.
Bernie was born on January 9, 1934 in Watertown, SD to Bernard & Irene Oberbrockling and was the 4th of 11 children. Bernie was also an Army Veteran. He moved to Amarillo in 1960 and later married Phyllis in 1967.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, his wife Phyllis, son Ben, daughter Debbie, brother Eddie, and sister Gertrude.
He is survived by his children Tim & Michael Oberbrockling, Brenda Hernandez, Risha & Birlon Washington, Michael & Debra Snell, and Vickie & Kenny Fisher. He had 14 grandchildren Angel, Juan, Joey, PJ, Tashina, Tony, Edwina, Marcelina, Lucy, Tabitha, Joshua, Jonah, Karmin, & Ravyn. He was also blessed with 25 great grandchildren.
