Billy Dale Watson

Billy Dale Watson, 85, of Amarillo died February 21, 2020.

Memorial Service will be at 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia St. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.

Billy was born December 9, 1934 near Wellington, Texas to Dale and Ruby Watson. He became a Master Plumber in Amarillo. Billy married Neva Jean Miller and they spent 67 wonderful years together. Billy had several interesting career titles through his life, from a time spent working with the railroad to plowing snow in the Rocky Mountains. Through a series of events, they settled in Amarillo. After retirement from the plumbing industry, he and Neva re-located to several states managing retirement homes. Billy loved his children and family dearly.

Billy was a skilled craftsman, self-taught in many aspects of building trades. Anything from masonry to roofing, he could fix it all.

He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents and sister, Mary Joyce.

He is survived by children, Billy Lynn Watson (Shirley), Ricky Dale Watson (Mille), Gaylon Earl Watson, Shelly Watson (Sandy); grandchildren, Amy (Matt), Ricky (Jessica), Justin (Sherry), Cody (Jennifer); and four great-grandchildren, Ricky III, Penny, Zuri and Zanity.
