Charles William Rytter, III

Charles William Rytter III, 65, of Amarillo, Texas passed away in his home on July 17, 2019.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel and viewing of the body from 12-2 pm. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.

He was known as "Bill", "Charlie" and "Charles" among many of his friends and coworkers. Charles "Bill" Rytter was born in Pensacola, Florida on September 29, 1953 to Albert and Betty Jean Rytter. He spent the majority of his youth years growing up in Charleston, Missouri. After High School, he enlisted in the US Army. Upon discharge, he moved to Amarillo, TX. A resident of Amarillo for over 40 years, He met his wife of 25 years, Sylvia C. Rytter and had an instant family and created a loving home. Bill was a hard working man, working as a long time cook at Jesse's Café in Wildorado, TX. He spent 11 and a half years at Cal Farleys Boys Ranch as a kitchen supervisor and most recently, a medical courier for Coffee Memorial Blood Center for the past 3 years. Charles never met a person that he didn't like and had a wonderful sense of humor.

Charles William Rytter III is preceded in death by his parents, Betty Jean Hock-Rytter and Albert Anderson Rytter & older sister Deborah Jean Maxey.

He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Rytter, of Amarillo, twin brother, Michael Anderson Rytter, of San Angelo,  stepdaughters, Teri Folkner and husband, Eric, of Amarillo, Tracy Ratzlaff and husband, Eric, of Amarillo and Tammy Matthews and husband, Jeremy, also of Amarillo. 7 grandchildren, Austin, Tyler, Erin, Addyson, Quinton, Lyla and Eleanor and 2 great grandchildren, Rayden and Caysen. Nieces Tammy Blagg, Lisa Thomas, April Hammner and Stephanie Rytter and nephew Anderson Rytter.
