Cynthia "Cindy" (Adams) Good

Cynthia “Cindy” Ann Good, age 64 of Amarillo entered the gates of Heaven on January 23, 2023 in Amarillo.

A vigil service will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at 6:00 PM at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Canyon.  The funeral mass will be held on Friday, January 27, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St. Ann’s Catholic Church.  Celebrant will be Rev. Scott Raef.  Concelebrant will be Rev. Jim Schmitmeyer. The burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Amarillo.

Cindy was born on June 11, 1958 in Brighton, Colorado to her parents Andrew Jack and Annie Loretta Adams. She graduated from Brighton High School in 1976.  She moved to Amarillo in 1982.  On July 6, 1984 she married William Good in Amarillo.

The family attended St. Hyacinths Catholic Church where Cindy served as music director until 2019 when they moved to St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Canyon.   Cindy had a passion for all things music.  She was a member of and Dean of the Amarillo Organ Guild, worked with Amarillo Opera BRAVO organization. Cindy loved to attend the Amarillo Symphony and Opera. In addition to her love for music she also had a love of travel and was fortunate enough to perform at St. Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City in 2010.  Cindy had the distinct privilege of meeting two Popes on her travels.  She and William made a pilgrimage to Israel in 2018 with St. Hyacinth’s.  Every five years the couple would celebrate their anniversary in Las Vegas.  They also enjoyed traveling to Virginia City, Nevada for the Fourth of July Festivities held there.

In addition to music and travel, Cindy enjoyed going to the National Western Stock Show and visiting with family members in the Denver area whenever the opportunity presented itself.  She also liked to fish. Cindy had a sweet spirit and people were drawn to her.  She loved ministering to others in any way she could.  She was fiercely devoted to God and family.  The world was a more beautiful place because of her.

Cindy was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her devoted husband William; her son Jack Good and his wife Cassandra of Amarillo; her grandchildren, Matthew Dominic Good, Addison Apple-Good, Lily Cates and Maggie Cates.
