Edith Marjorie Keyner, 83 of Amarillo TX, died October 17, 2020.

Memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Interment will be private. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.

Edith was born on February 14, 1937 in Semarang, Netherlands East Indies. Edith married Robert Hans Keyner, Sr and lived in Zeist, Netherlands with their children. She was a tailor, loving wife, mother, grandmother and loved our Lord. She had always provided a loving home environment for her children even after the death of her husband 48 years ago. She loved to garden, cook, needlework, go fishing and be with family, especially her grandchildren.

When she and the family first came to America, she was asked to pose for a photograph in the traditional costume of the Netherlands East Indies. The photograph was entered in the 1964 New York World’s Fair and won third place.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paula Gertrudia Theis and Elias Fredareik Willhelm de Pruyssenaere; husband, Robert Hans Keyner, Sr.; son, David; and daughter Gladys Patricia.

She is survived by daughter, Heidi Huse and husband, Jim of Amarillo; son, Robert Hans Keyner, Jr. and wife Shari of Amarillo; grandchildren, John and Kelissa Huse of Lubbock, Ashley and Betsy Clark of Wimberley, Brandon (MK) Keyner of Amarillo; and her brother, Boudewyn (Buddy) Fredareik de Pruyssenaere and wife Ruth in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
