Eldora "Dodie" May Anderson

August 28, 1932 — October 9, 2019

Eldora “Dodie” Anderson, 87, of Amarillo died October 9, 2019.

Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30am, Saturday, October 12th at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Graveside service will follow at 11:00 a.m., in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.

Eldora was born on August 28, 1932 in Shamrock, TX to Dottie and Giles Phillips. She was the youngest of 5 being the only girl. She graduated from Amarillo High School. She had a love of sewing from an early age and grew to become a skilled custom drapery designer. Her passion included quilting and upholstery. She loved her family dearly and had enormous pride for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren’s many activities. She held great pride in her family legacy.

She is preceded in death by her husband Kermit Anderson; and daughter Martha J. Polvadore

Eldora is survived by her three daughters Carol Higby, Pam Myers (Tom), and Debbie Ross (Will); two sons James Anderson and David Anderson (Arleen); 11 grandchildren, Marisha Spicer, Justin Myers (Whitney), Teresa Coker (Colin), Jess Myers, Vanessa Hill (Ryan), Randall Anderson, Patrick Anderson, Hailie Ross, Jenny Lennon, Misty Anderson, Nicole McCallister; and 18 great-grandchildren.
