Elias was born on February 21, 1942, to Elias and Andrea Urias, Sr.  He is known to many as Junior or Shine.  Although his nickname Shine was given for other reasons, his name fit him well because he brought sunshine into this world.  He is survived by his beloved wife, Dorothy of 62 incredible years, his daughter Lori Marcks and husband Phil, Laura Urias,

Tammy Alvarado and husband Alex; his grandchildren Nichole Middleton and husband Donnie, Abran Alvarado, Aaron Urias and wife Brooke, Amanda Marcks, Thomas Marcks, Annie Urias, Alyssa Urias; his great-grandchildren Briesa Middleton, Raimi Middleton, Baylin Middleton, Willa Hood, Isabella Jimenez; his brothers Eloy Urias, Melicio Urias, Leo Urias, Ismael Urias; and his sisters Ercilia Lafuente, Mary Drake, Yolanda Gavina, Diana Mendiaz, Nora Pesina, and JoAnn Ramirez as well as their spouses and children.

While his journey of life had a beginning and end, it was how he lived his life in between that left a legacy to be forever remembered.  Every role he accepted in life was carefully created for him because God knew the impact he would have on his family and community.  One of the most important and incredible aspects of Junior is the love and life he shared with his beautiful wife, Dorothy.  Junior was very involved in his church and lived his life in service of others.  Many have described him to be a Godly man, devout husband, caring father, loving grandpa, and Papa; great provider and leader; a talented barber and a good friend.  He was well known for his humor and wit.  In his last days he captured the hearts of every doctor and nurse that worked with him.  This man was easy to love!

Junior proudly served in the United States Army (1959 – 1962).  He owned and operated the First National Barber Shop since 1967.  With the combination of his charismatic personality, the comfort of his chair, and the daily chatter, the Barbershop became his second home. He cherished all the memories and lifelong friendships he made through the years.  Junior also enjoyed a great golf-game with his boys!  He will be greatly missed by his loved ones.  The family asks memorial donations to be made to Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch.
