Enrique Rodriquez

Enrique Rodriquez, formerly of Dimmitt, TX passed away August 29, 2021 in Amarillo, TX.

Visitation will be from 6-7:00 p.m., Friday, September 3, 2021 at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 4, 2021 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Enrique was born in Rocksprings, TX. He married Felipa Sanchez in 1959. Together, they raised their 8 children and were a large, happy family. “Henry” as he was known to all, moved around the panhandle of Texas until he settled in Sunny Side, 20 miles South of Dimmitt, TX. He was a hard worker and his children were often by his side learning and helping around the farm. He believed in families staying close and knowing all family members so they often took trips to San Antonio, Uvalde and Rock Springs to visit them. He was a great father, uncle and grandfather who will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters, Carmen Ruiz and Manuela Castillo; 2 brothers, Romolo and Eduardo Rodriquez; daughter, Mary Ann Larra; and son, Richard Rodriquez.

Enrique is survived by his spouse, Felipa; children, Janie, Enrique Jr., Linda, Velen, Isidro and Randy; 23 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; 4 great great-grandchildren; many brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews and great friends.
