Florence "Flo" Martin

Florence “Flo” Martin, 82, of Amarillo, passed away on Friday, November 13, 2020.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 4317 West I-40. Burial will follow in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St, Amarillo, Texas 79110.

Florence was born on March 2, 1938 in Sherman, Texas to F.M. and Frances Hacker.  She married Jerry Martin on June 29, 1956 in Canyon, TX.  She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education and Master’s Counseling and was an addiction therapist. She volunteered for “Meals on Wheels” and also cared for others, visiting the sick and volunteering for her church.  Florence was all about her family whom she loved dearly.

She is preceded in death by her parents, F.M. and Frances Hacker; and her brother, Bob Hacker.

Florence is survived by her husband, Jerry Martin of Amarillo; two sons, Jerry Ray Martin, Jr. of Plano, TX and Brad Martin of Amarillo; and her daughter, Kimberly Kay Martin (Ettel) of Amarillo; 10 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society and St. Paul United Methodist Church
