Fructosa "Fritos" Fuentes

Fructosa “Fritos” Fuentes, 68, of Amarillo, passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2018 in Lubbock, Texas.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 27, 2018 in Schooler Funeral Home’s Brentwood Chapel with Chaplain Jeff Messer officiating.  Interment will follow in Llano Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia.

Fritos was born on January 21, 1950 in San Luis Potosi, Mexico to Juan and Feliciana Vasquez. She was a homemaker and wonderful grandmother. She adored spending time with all her grandchildren. She enjoyed fishing, camping, picnics and traveling. Spending time with family was the most important thing to her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eusebio “Chevo” Fuentes; and her parents, Juan and Feliciana Vasquez.

Fritos is survived by her companion, Max Martinez; a daughter, Margie Garza and husband Adolfo of Lubbock; two sons, Raymond Padilla and wife Amanda of Amarillo, and Johnny Peralez and wife Diana from Schertz, Texas; six sisters, Maria Gomez, Carmen Miranda, Juanita Rodriguez, Rose Gonzalez, Socorro Turrubiartes, Nina Hernandez and husband Juan; three brothers, Juan Vasquez, Manuel Vasquez and Rufino Vasquez; twelve grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren
