Jo "Granny" Larance

Jo Larance, 85, passed away on April 5, 2021 in Amarillo.

Visitation will be from 6-7:00 p.m., Friday, April 9, 2021 at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 10, 2021 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.

Jo was born to Irene and Loyd Brown in Baird, TX on November 23, 1935. She was a young soul with a graceful heart who loved showing her love to family by cooking delicious meals. She was an adventurous woman who always welcomed a good joke. Willful to her independence.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Herman Larance; daughter, Yvonna; brothers, Billy and Ed; her mother, Irene Brown; and father, Loyd Brown.

Jo was a mother, fur mom, wife, grandmother to 6 amazing grandchildren, a great-granny to 4 beautiful children and a Granny to all!

She left an astounding example of how to fully and lovingly live.

Jo is survived by daughter, Cheryl Chapman (Jim); 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; fur baby, Pepper; son, Coy Larance; sister, Marjorie Johnson; brothers, Coy Brown (Emma) and Pete Brown (Pam); and many nieces and nephews.

We will all pine her absence with the peace of mind that she will be watching over us.
