Julian Zamora

January 9, 1954 — June 10, 2017

Julian Zamora, 63, of Amarillo, died on Saturday, June 10, 2017.

Rosary will be said at 6:00 Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel.  Funeral mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 15, 2017 at St. Laurence Catholic Church with Rev. Felipe Alvarez as celebrant.  Interment will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia, Amarillo, Texas 79110.

Julian was born January 9, 1954 in Zacatecas, Mexico to Francisco and Soledad Zamora.  He married Simona in Abilene on September 9, 1977.  He worked for BPI, which became Tyson for twenty years before working for J. Lee Milligan the last five years.  Julian was a God fearing man whose faith sustained him.  He was humble, hardworking, and loved his family unconditionally.  As a member of St. Laurence Catholic Church, he stayed very active.  Julian was one of a kind.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Francisco Zamora and Freddie Jaquez; and one brother, Jesus Zamora.

Julian is survived by his wife, Simona; two daughters, Vicki Trinh and husband, John of Amarillo, and Norma Jaquez and Kyle Kesterson of OK; two sons, Ricardo and Javier Zamora, both of Amarillo; two brothers, Francisco and Jacobo Zamora, both of Mexico; 11 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
