Kathryn "Kay" Ann (Matison) Paine

Kathryn Ann “Kay” Paine passed away Friday, July 29, 2022 in Tulsa. Oklahoma.

Services will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the Llano Pantheon Mausoleum.

Kay was born on April 3, 1943 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Robert and Ann Matison. Kay was proceeded in death by her parents and husband, William Porter Paine.

Survivors include her daughter, Mimi K. Mohr of Tulsa, companion, Dorman Walton of Tulsa, cousins and many friends.

She graduated from the University of Nebraska and was an avid cornhusker fan. Kay worked at the Amarillo Globe News as the Arts and Entertainment editor, business writer and editor, and columnist. Kay was an active community volunteer serving on the Amarillo Little Theatre Board of Directors, served as chair of the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce Arts Committee, and was also active with the Golden Nail Awards. She also served on the PASO Board of Directors and the Llano Cemetery Board of Directors.
