Kristi Duncan Dowd

Kristi Duncan Dowd, 72, of Amarillo died on April 30, 2021.

Rosary will be said at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St.

She was born to Bob Andy and Christine Duncan on August 14, 1948. Kristi graduated from the first class at Alamo High School then attended Amarillo College. She married John Ray Dowd (of Vega, TX) son of Otto and Pauline Dowd in November of 1969. She was a mother and a homemaker. Kristi was a charter member of Saint Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Amarillo under Monsignor Joseph Tash.

She is survived by brother, Robert Duncan and wife Cathy of Phoenix, AZ; sister, Jean Kitchens and husband Bill of Marysville, WA; sons, Matt Williams and wife Gina of Katy, TX and Brad Dowd of Amarillo, TX; daughters, Korrie Mills of Amarillo, TX and Johnna Dowd and Myles Leak of Amarillo, TX. Kristi was the beloved grandmother to Seth Williams of Katy, TX, Duncan and Avery Dowd of Aubrey, TX, Thomas Weise of Amarillo, TX, Timothy Dannheim of Amarillo, TX and Ryder and Eric Flores of Amarillo, TX; nephews, Mark Duncan, Brian Kitchens and Scott Duncan; niece Jill Kitchens; and she had a special place in her heart for Melissa Sharp of Lubbock, TX.

Kristi is preceded in death by her husband, John Ray Dowd; sister, Sammie; nephew, Timothy Jones of Austin, TX; niece and nephew, Miranda Duncan and Morgan Duncan both of Lubbock, TX; and her beloved Labradors, Mr. Buster and Lil' Buddy.
