Lanetta Flippo

Lanetta Flippo, 64, passed away September 23, 2020.

Lanetta will be available to viewing from 9:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m., Sunday, September 27, 2020 at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, September 28, 2020 in Llano Cemetery East, Whispering Pines with Gene Foster, Retired Pastor and Brother-in-Law of Lanetta as officiant. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.

Lanetta was born November 4, 1955 in Chickasha, OK. She was a member of Paramount Baptist Church and taught 1st grade at Forest Hill Elementary for 17.5 years. She was a violinist in the Amarillo Symphony for over 20 years. Lanetta enjoyed teaching violin and piano lessons and often volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House.

She was well known for her kindness and soft heart for her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Helen Flippo.

Lanetta is survived by sisters, Glenda LaFavers and husband, Richard of Victoria, TX, Cecilia Foster and husband, Gene of Amarillo, TX and Novelyn Flippo of Amarillo, TX; nieces and nephews, Ric LaFavers and wife, Kim of Missouri City, TX, Kelli Dillon and husband, Nate of Navarre, FL, Stephen Foster and wife, Malory of Lubbock, TX; and Elizabeth Flippo of Amarillo, TX; and great-nieces and nephews, Austin, Colson, Ryan, Tyler, Grey, Zeyn, Addison, Andrew and Brooklyn.

Lanetta asked that donations be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 1501 Streit Dr., Amarillo, TX 79106.
