Leonard "Nick" Harvey Nichol

Leonard Harvey “Nick” Nichol, 89, of Amarillo, died Friday, September 25, 2020.

Memorial Service will be 1:00 p.m., on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel Rev. Jody Meason officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia.

Nick was born December 6, 1930 in Souris, North Dakota to Frank Nichol and Ella Hougen Nichol. He graduated from Bottineau High School in North Dakota and The University of North Dakota, Grand Forks. Nick joined the Air Force at the age of 18. He married Elizabeth “Beth” on June 9, 1953; she preceded him in death in 1997. Nick married Helen in 1999. Nick worked for Automotive Automatic for many years.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one son; wife, Helen; three brothers, and two sisters.

Nick is survived a his daughter, Pam and husband Danny Anderson; son, Bobby Nichol all of Amarillo; brother in law, Jack Van Matre of Whitehouse, TN; six grandchildren, Dee-Jay, Scott, Kristal, Jeremy, Michael, and Dusty; eight great-granchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
