Lois was born October 14, 1933, to Frances and Samuel Mazurek on the rim of Palo Duro Canyon near Washburn, Texas. She was fourth among five children. She grew up and resided in Amarillo her entire life until recently relocating to Granbury, Texas, to be near her son Tim and his wife, Diann. Lois graduated from Saint Mary’s Academy in 1952.
In 1963, Lois married Edwin Dale Litsch, and they celebrated 36 wedding anniversaries together before Dale’s passing in September 1999. Together, they owned and operated Volle_Litsch Apothecary. Lois and Dale raised two wonderful boys and were founding family members of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. She was a devout Catholic who prayed several rosaries a day. Often the caregiver of her family, Lois took charge when needed and nursed several family members as they aged. She loved gardening, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
Lois is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Edwin Dale Litsch; two brothers, Kenneth and Sam Mazurek; and two sisters, Wanda Mazurek Mulherin and Ann Cansler.
Survivors include her two sons, Tim Litsch and his wife, Diann of Granbury, Texas, and Jeff Litsch and his partner, Kyle Dennis of West Hollywood, California, and numerous other family members.
