Moises "Mo" Mendoza

Moises “Mo” Mendoza, 43, of Amarillo died August 31, 2019.

Celebration of Life will be at 12:00 p.m., Friday, September 6, 2019 at Parkview Baptist Church, 208 H NW, Childress, Texas. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, Amarillo.

Moises was born August 4, 1976 in Paducah, Texas to Enrique Sr. and Mary Mendoza. Moises proudly served in the United States Marine Corp and was honorably discharged in 2004. He played the accordion and guitar and enjoyed listening to music of all genres. Moises spent many years working in construction. He loved fishing, hunting, & spending time with family & his best friends of many years Michael Lozano, Uncle Jesse, & Tony Tagle.

He is preceded in death by father Enrique Mendoza, Sr.; paternal grandparents, Luis & Agapita (maiden name Diaz) Mendoza; and maternal grandparents, Mike & Dominga (maiden name Rodriguez) Madrid.

Moises is survived by daughter, Marissa Brewer and fiancé, Javier Vizcaino and only grandson, Jay Vizcaino all of Stanton, Texas; mother, Mary (maiden name Madrid) Aguilar and her husband. Domingo Sr. of New Summerfield, TX; sister Carmen (maiden name Mendoza) Coleman and husband, Derek of Canyon, TX; brothers, Rick Mendoza & Brandon Ammons of Amarillo, TX, Jose Mendoza of Springhill, KS, Agapito Mendoza of San Antonio, TX; Noe Mendoza and wife, Rhonda of Paducah, TX; Bernardo Mendoza & wife, Amy of Amarillo TX; half-siblings; Rosa (maiden name Aguilar) Mendoza and husband, Adrian of New Summerfield, TX, Maria Aguilar & Joel Martinez of New Summerfield, TX; Domingo Aguilar Jr & Alma of New Summerfield, TX, Arnulfo Aguilar & Breanna of New Summerfield, TX, Francisca (maiden name Aguilar) Lopez, and Steve of New Summerfield, TX; 17 nephews & 9 nieces; and many, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
