Norma Kelley

November 1, 1921 — September 2, 2017

Norma Lockwood Kelley, 95, of Amarillo, passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2017 in Amarillo.

Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 4100 S. Coulter,  with Rev. John Valdez as celebrant. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia.

Norma was born on November 1, 1921 in Leominster, Massachusetts to Albert and Rachel Brown. She lived many years in Clinton, Massachusetts and Ridgewood N.J., earning a B.S. from William Patterson College in Wayne, N.J.

She was a high school basketball referee at one time and also a volunteer Handicap Patrol for the Amarillo Police Dept.  She was also a Eucharistic Minister at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.  In recent years she enjoyed hanging out with her great-grandchildren, playing cards, coloring and going to the Nutcracker Ballet and the musical Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Joseph F. Lockwood Sr. and Charles W. Kelley; her son, Joseph F. Lockwood Jr., her grandson, Jesse Joe Sisemore, Jr.: her sister, Dorothy Siren; and her brother, Leslie Brown.

Norma is survived by her daughter, Norma Sisemore of Amarillo; her sister, Betty Barnett of Borger; one step-son, Sean Kelley and wife, Lupe of Amarillo; her grandchildren, Brett Sisemore and wife, Heidi of Kingwood, Trish Eklund and husband, Donny, Angel Norman and husband, Todd, Dawn Graham and husband, Michael, Joseph Lockwood III and wife, Megan, and Frank Lockwood and wife, Tori, all of Amarillo; and twelve great-grandchildren.
