Patricia (Brown) Schroder

Patricia A. Brown Schroder, 93, of Amarillo died July 9, 2022.

The family will receive guests on Sunday June 10, 2022 from 5:00 PM  until 6:30 PM, at Schooler Funeral Home.  At Patricia’s request, a graveside service only will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, July 11, 2022 in Memorial Park Cemetery,  Amarillo, Texas. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.

Patricia was born August 25, 1928, in Seminole, OK to Lester and Leta Brown.  She married the love of her life Delbert “Bud” Schroder on May 29, 1947 in St. John, Kansas.  She worked as a secretary for several school districts including Amarillo, Shiprock, and Bushland. Throughout her life, Patricia’s compassion and love for Christ was evident every day. She spent many hours ministering and teaching God’s word to others.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Delbert (Bud) Schroder; one brother, Robert C. Brown: and one sister Donna Jo Gillilland.

Patricia is survived by sons, Rod Schroder and wife, Suzanne, and Craig Schroder and wife, Sabra; grandchildren, Neil and his wife Courtney, Kyle, Seth, Kristin, David and his wife Kathryn, Dan and his wife Lori, Josh, and Matt and his wife Taryn; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be made to the "True Grit" Scholarship Fund at the Amarillo Area Foundation, 801 S. Fillmore, Suite 700, Amarillo, Texas 79101.
