Phyllis Gail Chapman

April 11, 1951 — February 15, 2021

Phyllis Gail Chapman, 69, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus peaceably at her home in Plainview, TX on Monday, February 15, 2021.

The family will accept friends from 5-7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 18, 2021 at the funeral home. Graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 19, 2021 in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.

Phyllis was born April 11, 1951 to Floyd and Elva Roberts in Amarillo, TX. She graduated from Palo Duro High School. She met the love of her life Bob, married, and had two children- Brent and Krystal. She worked at Oak Dale Elementary so she could welcome her children home every day. Later, she was an administrative assistant in the healthcare field.

Phyllis will be dearly missed. She loved to laugh and be near her family. She was known for her casseroles and desserts. As a devoted mother and MeMe, she always made sure her family knew how much she loved them.

She is survived by her husband Robert “Bob” Chapman, her son Brent Chapman and wife Vonda, her daughter Krystal Ovalle and boyfriend Chris Mason, her grandkids Brennen Chapman and wife Ariel, Kymbree Ovalle, Cole Chapman, Camren Ovalle, and Brady Chapman, greatgrandchildren Aurora and Elliott Chapman, brother Larry Roberts and fiancé Kathy Dawson, niece Brooke Sursa, and her dog Alley. She is preceded in death by her parents Floyd and Elva Roberts.
