Robert John Clowar

Robert John Clowar, 60, of Canyon passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2021.

Robert was born on July 3, 1961 in Trenton, New Jersey to John and Lois Clowar (McCullough) Kowal. The family relocated to New Mexico where he was a graduate of Tucumcari High School. Following high school he attended Rider College. Robert proudly served his country in both the United States Army and the United States Marine Corps.

Robert was an avid collector of all different sports cards; from basketball, football, soccer, and just about everything in between. Keeping with his collective spirit, he also had a vast array of comic books, coins, and even a few stamps.

Robert was incredibly tech savvy. He worked in the IT Department for the State of Oklahoma for the better part of 20 years before retiring in Canyon. Following his retirement, he found great solace in spending time with family as often as he could.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents; his step father Stan Kowal; and brother Thomas Clowar.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sisters,  Lois Ann Williamson and husband Rick and Theresa Clowar; his brothers,  Stan Kowal and wife Terry Kowal, and Allan Kowal; nieces, April White and husband Chris, and Jennifer and Sabrina Fanelli; his  nephew Danny Kowal and wife Joyce;  and his aunts  Kathy McCullough and Eileen Fitzpatrick.
