Rose Mary Weller-Pugh

Rose Mary Weller Pugh, 89, of Amarillo passed away Saturday, September 15, 2018.

Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 24, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 4122 S. Bonham, Amarillo. Private burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.

Rose Mary was born October 29, 1928 to John and Helen Weller in Groom, where she was raised and graduated from Groom High School.  She married Clifton Rudell “Rudy” Pugh in Groom.  As an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, she was also a member of the St. Joseph Altar Society.  She was known to make pies for the Fair Cafe and served many funeral dinners for St. Joseph parishioners. She was a wonderful wife, homemaker, mom and grandma.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Rudy; her sister, Mary Ann Calkins; and her brother Buddy Weller.

Rose Mary is survived by her son, Michael Pugh and wife, Karen; her daughter, Virginia Keys and husband, Tim; her sister, Adeline Ziegler, all of Amarillo; her grandchildren, Ellen Pugh, Amy Morton and husband, Drew, Emily Pugh, Carey Keys-Anchia and husband Gabe, Lance Keys and wife, Kristi, and Lisa Branham and husband, Sam; and nine great-grandchildren.

The family suggest memorials be made to the St. Joseph Building Fund.
