Sean Griffin

Sean Griffin, age 57, of Amarillo, died at his home on May 26, 2023.

A memorial service to celebrate Sean’s life will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia.  The Rev. Greg Corona will officiate.

Sean was born on January 13, 1966, in Amarillo to his parents, Roland Gerald, and Cathryn Corea Griffin.  He attended Caprock High School. On April 14, 1993, he married his best friend, Marcia Grine, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

You can’t even mention the Dallas Cowboys without immediately thinking of Sean. He followed them throughout his life, the good, the bad, and the ugly, it didn’t matter what type of season they were having, and he was passionate about them ‘Boys!

He loved to cook for family and friends.  He delighted when people gathered to partake of his delicious brisket, ribs, and other deliquesces.  He also enjoyed trying new recipes for the patients he cared for at the Arbors, he always wanted to make them smile, and he knew through his cooking, he could bring families and friends together. Sean’s love language was food!

When he and Marcia had some spare time, they enjoyed each other’s company and visiting the occasional casino.  Throughout their lives, they shared many special canine and feline companions that preceded Sean in death.

Sean was preceded in death by his parents; and by a sister, Deanne Sims.

He is survived by his wife of thirty years, Marcia; a sister, Azure; two brothers, John and Jerry; and numerous other loving family members and friends.
