Shane loved sports or basically anything that required competition. He began playing baseball from an early age in Randall County Youth baseball. That eventually led to varsity at Canyon High School where he played in the state championship in 1988. Shane attended Frank Phillips College playing baseball before finally settling into his career at Pantex in 1991.
He was very influential in youth sports in Amarillo. He coached many young kids while he coached his own in every sport. Shane’s kids were his life and he helped raise four amazing kids.
He is survived by his daughters, Berklee Scott, husband Stefan and grandson Walker; Kenzie Dressler of Wichita Falls; twin sons, Kayden Dressler of Amarillo and Brecken Dressler of Wichita Falls. His parents, Jan and Larry Dressler of Amarillo; his sister Casey Scott, husband Jon and nephews Trevor and Jake. Shane has now joined with his first grandson, Elliott Scott, and nephew, Chase Scott, in heaven.
A special thanks to all his friends that helped check in on Shane during these past few months. There’s a special place in heaven for these friends.
