Stanley "S.R." Holley, Jr.

Stanley Ray “S.R.” Holley, Jr., 81 of Claude passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2018.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia, Amarillo, Texas 79110.

S.R. was born on July 3, 1936 in Duke, OK to Stanley Ray and Nancy Holley. He was raised in Erick, OK where he enlisted and served in the U.S. Army. S.R. moved to Amarillo in the early 70s and worked as a diesel mechanic for J. Lee Milligan for more than 30 years. He moved to Claude in 2000 where he resided until his passing.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gordon Holley; sister, Nancy Whitaker; his wife of 50 years, Wilma; his second wife, Alma; and a son, Stanley Ray Holley, III.

S.R. is survived by two daughters, Toni Helm and Jeannie Hargrove both of Claude; eight grandchildren and their spouses; seventeen great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
