Virgil Eugene Hillock

Virgil Eugene Hillock, Jr., 58, of Amarillo, passed away on Friday, September 10, 2021 in Amarillo.

He was born on April 2, 1963 in Clovis, NM to Virgil Eugene Hillock, Sr. and Helen Tudor Hillock.  On January 4, 2002 he married Nissa Frey in Amarillo.  Virgil worked in the construction business as a project manager.  He loved to hunt, fish and just being outdoors.  He had a passion for helping troubled kids and loved to play with his boys and being with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Nissa Hillock of Amarillo; one daughter, Sarah Buckmaster of Catoosa, OK; three sons, Caleb, Peyton and Riley Hillock, all of Amarillo; his parents, Virgil Eugene Hillock, Sr. and Helen Hillock; five grandchildren, Ally, Ethan, Benjamin, Ashton and Jentson; sister, Missy Trimble; brothers, Tim, Danny and David Hillock.  He was preceded in death by one son, Virgil Eugene “Butch” Hillock, III.

Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Grace Church in Amarillo with Scott Davey and Jon Fuller officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Schooler Funeral Home.
